    Body planes

Words that act like a coordinate system to describe a human in the anatomical position.

    back of the body

    inferior

lower on the body, FARTHER from the head

    coronal plane

divides the body vertically into front and back (anterior, and posterior)

    sagittal plane

divides the body vertically into UNEQUAL left and right portions. (can start anywhere, like shoulder to arm for example)
